The two-stage Diamondbrite process
Every ceramic coating we carry out at our unit follows the same structured two-stage car detailing process. Both stages are necessary and work in sequence - the result of Stage 2 depends on the preparation completed in Stage 1.
How the treatment works
Stage 1 - cleanse, prepare and fill
Stage 1 cleanses the paintwork thoroughly and fills the microscopic pores in the clear coat, producing a smooth and even surface. Any surface contamination is removed at this stage. Left in place, it would prevent the ceramic coating from bonding to the paint directly - the coating would cure onto the contamination instead.
Stage 2 - bond and protect
Stage 2 bonds chemically to Stage 1, forming a hard, high-lustre protective skin. Once cured, the ceramic coating is fully hydrophobic - rain and dirt run off cleanly, and water spots are far less likely to form between washes. The finish has genuine depth and gloss, showing the factory paint at its best.
We begin every ceramic coating appointment with a full Premier Valet to bring the vehicle to the standard Stage 1 requires. The car is kept at our unit for a full 24 hours from the point of drop-off.

How long does a ceramic coating last?
It provides long-lasting protection and removes the need for regular polishing, but we will not quote a number of years, because durability depends on how the car is used, where it is kept and how it is washed. Avoiding automated car washes and washing by hand extends it considerably. It significantly outlasts wax and standard sealants under normal conditions.
How long do you need the car for?
A full 24 hours from the point of drop-off. The two stages have to be applied and cured in sequence, and that is not something worth rushing.
Do I still need to wash my car?
