Valeting, restoration and booking

Common questions

How much does a car valet cost in Mansfield?

Wash & Vac from £15, General Clean £35, Mini Valet £45, Premier Valet £85. Those are standard car prices. Restoration work - alloys, paint correction, ceramic coating, dry ice blasting - is quoted per vehicle after we have seen it.

How long does a Premier Valet take?

It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. A standard car in average condition, a Ford Focus for example, takes four to five hours. Once we have had sight of your vehicle we can give you a more accurate timescale.

What happens if it rains? Can I still have my car valeted?

No problem at all. We have our own specialist heated valeting unit with professional LED lighting, so the weather outside makes no difference to the work or the finish.

Is my car insured while it is in your care?

Yes. Fully comprehensive insurance covers all of our work, including driving any vehicle where that is needed to move it in and out of the unit. No vehicles are left outside overnight, the unit is fully alarmed with security cameras that can be viewed remotely, and vehicle keys are removed from the premises overnight.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the car to you?

You bring the car to us. We are at Unit 53 Block 8, Old Mill Lane Industrial Estate, Mansfield Woodhouse, NG19 9BG. This is not a mobile service - working from a fixed, equipped unit is what makes the wet work, machine polishing and wheel refinishing possible.

I am not sure which valet I need.

Give us a call on 07713 175704 or drop in for a chat and we can talk through what the car actually needs. We are always happy to put together a tailored package if that suits you better than one of the standard options.

What if I book a lower package than the car turns out to need?

We will usually know when you drop the vehicle off if more time is needed, for example with heavy soiling or dog hair. We will always contact you before carrying out any additional work, and you will always get the best possible result for the valet you have booked.

What is the difference between a clean and a valet?

A clean is the outside washed and the inside vacuumed. A valet goes into the detail: snow foam, hand drying and buffing, interior surfaces cleaned rather than wiped, glass, sills and tyres. The Premier Valet goes further again with polishing, waxing, shampooing the carpets and wet vacuuming the seats.

Can you get scratches and swirl marks out of the paint?

Light scratches and swirls usually polish out with machine correction - that is paint correction, not valeting. Damage that has gone through the lacquer needs more than polishing. Send us a photo and we will tell you what is realistic.

Do you wash caravans, motorhomes and HGVs?

Yes. All vehicles are catered for, including mobile homes, caravans and HGVs. Larger vehicles are quoted individually rather than at the standard car rate.

Can restoration work be done at the same time as a valet?

Yes, and it saves a second trip. Paint correction, alloy refurbishment, ceramic coating and dry ice blasting can all be booked alongside a valet. Mention it when you book so we can allow the time.

What payment do you accept?

Cash or bank transfer using a mobile app.

Do you do work for dealers and traders?

Yes. Forecourt and trade valeting runs alongside our private work - see the trade valeting page.
